Cruel King by KA Linde

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Let me start by saying that this was one of my favorite series ever! I have loved all the characters and each of their journey’s. Gavin and Whitley are no different. Cruel King is a fake relationship, friends to lovers story. If you read Cruel Kiss, the prequel, you got a sneak peak at their story. I couldn’t put the book down from the first page to the last it gripped me.
The Narrators did a great job bringing this story to life. I just didn’t want it to end.
Gavin was the ultimate playboy, rich and not looking to settle down until he met his match with Whitley. Whitley had gone from one relationship to another but always on her terms. Together they were always comfortable. Why not pretend to be together to get everyone to stop bothering them. True feelings might have to be revealed.
When Whitley gets some bad news, the two go from pretend fiancés to actually getting married.
I just loved Whitley. She is independent and does what she wants.
You can read this as a standalone but you should read the series to truly appreciate the brilliance of this series. Another winner from K.A. Linde!

Right Man Right Time by Meghan Quinn

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Right Man, Right Time was amazing! I just fell in love with Silas and Ollie. This was a fake relationship, sports romance. I just absolutely loved this story.
Silas has been hurt before and has trust issues. Ollie thinks he’s cute, and decides to kiss him. When Silas finds out his ex will be working for his team, he thinks Ollie is the perfect cover. The two decide they can help each other.
This story had so many fun moments, heartfelt moments and moments that just make you smile.
Ollie is much younger than Silas, but so mature. She brings life back to him, and opens up a whole other side to him. His friends all see it, his game is great and the two are so fun together.
Ollie just fits right in. She helps to heal Silas, and makes him feel again. She was everything he didn’t think he wanted and more.
This series I have just loved, and getting to see the characters again makes it so fun.
You don’t want to miss this next one from Meghan. It’s one of my favorites!

Make a Wish by Helena Hunting

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Make a Wish by Helena Hunting is book 3 in the Spark House series. It is about Harley and her quest to find her place at Spark House, and in herself and her future. It’s a story about love, family and second chances.
Harley had a love of children, and is a child at heart. She was a nanny for Gavin after his wife passed away and she fell in love with caring for Peyton.
Years later they meet again and fall back into each others lives. There was a spark between them again just like years ago.
Gavin has never truly healed from losing his wife. He has gone through the motions for Peyton but hasn’t found happiness again.
Harley brought so much into their lives. It wasn’t without obstacles but she is worth it.
Harley was amazing with Peyton and it makes you fall in love with them. She was everything Gavin needed to heal.
I just loved this series, these characters and the 3 stories.
Another winner from Helena Hunting!

Keep This Promise by Corinne Michaels

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Keep this Promise is the last book in the Rose Canyon series. Sophie and Holden will steal your heart. This is a second chance story not to be missed. A drunken night in Vegas is how it started, and a family to be is how it ends. Together these two face adversity but know they are meant to be.

Sophie doesn’t know what is going on. Her husband tells her she must leave, not ask questions, follow instructions and just go as he lays on his death bed. She leaves behind her love, her best friend and takes her daughter and goes.
Holden remembers Sophie from their one night stand in Vegas and soon realizes Eden is his. That same spark is still there, but will they pick up where they left off?

There is mystery and suspense as the story unfolds and they find out why Sophie was told to go, what her husband was hiding and who was behind it. There are little clues along the way, and many of the characters from other stories and roles which is always nice to see. Eden and Mama James are great side characters.

I really enjoyed this book and these characters. This book has it all and more.

Mine To Love by Natasha Madison

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I can’t even put into words how much I loved this book. My favorite in the series so far. Presley and Bennett were everything. Mine To Love by Natasha Madison was filled with love, family and so many emotions.
Presley is afraid of love, marriage, commitment. Bennett has always wanted Presley but never admitted how deep his feelings were for fear of her running.
When Presley finds out she is pregnant, Bennett is there in every way until Presley pushes him too far. Sometimes you need to lose something in order to know how important it really was.
I just loved how Natasha told this story. I felt all the emotions from the characters. I savored the pages as I didn’t want the story to end.
One of my favorite books by this author! Her characters feel like family. You get so invested in them. I cannot wait for the next book when series will collide together.

Runaway Groomsman by Meghan Quinn is a story about finding love, family and friendship.
Sawyer thought he was in love till he found out she was cheating on him with his best friend. He thought he just wrote about romance for the movies. Now he is living her worst nightmare at his ex’s wedding to his ex-best friend. He thought he could pretend but he can’t and leaves in the most dramatic way at the altar as a groomsman.
He ends up in Canoodle, a quirky town, where he hides while Hollywood goes crazy with gossip after he runs away from the wedding.
Meghan sets up this rom-com with a perfect setting, and characters to draw you in, and the perfect town for it to take place.

Sully, her grandfather, has moments of clarity where he teaches Sawyer about love while they work together to restore parts of the property. These moments were heart felt and made you start to fall in love with Sawyer.
Fallon and Sawyer grew a friendship over time which turned into so much more. Throw in her friend Jaz for some sidekick comedy and you have a perfect Meghan Quinn romantic comedy.
It’s a fixer upper meets small town romance kind of story.
It was a really cute story with a really fun meet cute premise filled with heart, soul and fun. It’s a story you won’t want to miss.

The Maid’s Secret by Shari J Ryan

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Shari J Ryan has found her calling with historical fiction writing. She weaves her stories and characters with emotion, suspense and heart. The Maid’s Secret is the latest in her writings and it’s one you will not want to miss. It is powerful and beautifully written.
The Maid’s Secret centers around Mila, a Romani gypsy girl and Ben, a Jewish boy. Mila comes to work for Ben’s family and the two form a strong connection.
Ryan does a wonderful job with her characters. Ben is strong, has a kind heart, is courageous and loving. Mila is strong, bold and independent. The two can’t help their connection, even through the times they are living in.
The world around them is filled with hatred, but the love that develops between them, even though it goes against the times, will warm your heart and take you on an emotional journey.

Violet is different than the other girls on campus. When the two become friends again there are so many sweet moments that you just want her to forgive him.

The Rules of Dating by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There are no words to explain how much I loved this book! Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland write the best stories. I freaking loved The Rules of Dating. I laughed, I smiled, I cried. This book had it all and then some.
Single dad romances make me swoon and Colby was the single dad you want to meet.
Colby is sexy, confidant and an amazing father to Saylor. Billie is a tattoo artist, has a kind soul and is a straight shooter. They are complete yin & yang but they work. They go on undates and form a friendship but with their electricity they become lovers and so much more. They kept me glued to the pages reading at all hours. And of course there was some angst thrown in to keep you on your toes.
Colby’s friends add some fun, smile, happy, got your back type moments. They are an amazing group of friends that are family.
And Saylor was such a cute kid. Her moments with Billie were priceless.
There was so much to love with this story. It is a must read. One of my favs of the year. You will fall in love with every page.

Mine to Cherish by Natasha Madison

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I get so excited every time Natasha Madison has a new release. I get so enthralled with her stories. Mine To Cherish is book 3 in the Southern Wedding series. I just loved Clarabella and Luke. It was a second chances, runaway almost bride, awesome family kind of book.
Clarabella and Luke had a great night together until he walked away. Big mistake! Clarabella rebounded and was to be married. Then the unthinkable happens and she bolts right into Luke. The two go off to escape and Luke is happy to oblige.
I just loved these two together there was chemistry, awesome banter and an amazing connection. Their time at the cabin allowed for falls to come down, and feelings to be explored. I just love second chance stories, and these two deserved a happy ending.
Clarabella and her sisters have such a great relationship with each other. Their conversations are wonderful and heart felt. They are there for each other in every way.
I cannot wait for Presley’s book, and her story.
This is a book not to be missed and a series that is a must read.

Bitter Sweet Heart by H Hunting

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved Bitter Sweet Heart by Helena Hunting so much. From the first chapter to the last, it grabbed my heart and didn’t let go.
Maverick comes from hockey royalty. The plan is for him to play professionally. He is an old soul and seems older than his age.
Clover and Mav meets accidentally when her paddle board drifts too far when she falls asleep. The two have a one night stand thinking that is all it will be. Fast forward to the start of the school year and their paths cross again.
Mav and Clover try to stay away, but they have a pull towards one another. Mav helps Clover to learn to stand up for herself. She in turn helps Mav to figure out exactly what he wants for his future and to be honest with his family.
They complement each other so well. Clover helps him to heal from his guilt from the past.
This book will have you hooked. It has angst, it was emotional, gripping and a page turner.
It also lets you revisit some characters from the past books. Fans of Helena Hunting will love this different side as she writes under H. Hunting for a more mature book and issues. This was one of my favorite of her books.

Moodyby Penelope Ward

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Penelope Ward has done it again! Moody was everything you didn’t know you needed. It was a finding love where you least expect it, forbidden love, and a second chance story. It was all that and so much more.
Dax Moody lost his wife, and was left to raise her adopted son and get over the guilt of how he felt about his marriage.

Royally Not Ready by Meghan Quinn

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of the things I love about Meghan Quinn’s books is the way she can take you from a funny scene to wholly hotness so quickly. Royally Not Ready is a perfect example of why she writes such amazing rom-com’s.
Lily lives in Miami, has a business with her friend, and is trying to live life after losing her parents. Approached one day by a man, Keller, from a foreign country where her mom was from. Something she knew nothing about and that her mom was a Princess.
I just love Royal romances and I devoured this one. As Lily travels to the country to learn if she could live there, become Queen one day and learn their traditions. Her teacher, Keller who is stone cold or so she thought. Lily knows how to press his buttons which made for some fun banter and laugh out loud moments. The two together were like fire once the guards were let down.
Keller had some walls that needed to come down which added to some angst in the story.
I love when foreign traditions are added into the story. Where Meghan comes up with them I do not know.
As Lily trains with Keller the two become one and compliment each other so well. Lily so badly wants a connection to her mother and being in this new country turned out to be so much more than ever expected.
This book was pure perfection! If you loved The Princess Diaries, you will love Royally Not Royal!

Sunshine and Sammy by Melanie Moreland

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sunshine and Sammy by Melanie Moreland is part of the Vested Interest series. It can be read as a standalone as I did. I loved the characters from the start and was hooked on the story.
Luke is a rancher, hard worker, jaded from previous relationships. Sammy was hired to help make the ranch into a tv show to help small businesses grow their product. Rachel is Luke’s sister and partner on the ranch.
Luke and Sammy get off on the wrong foot, but the chemistry is there from the start. These two sizzle and can’t resist each other.
Luke was not happy with Sammy being there and made it known. Sammy was a spit fire and exactly what Luke needed to realize life was better with someone in it or more specifically Sammy.
Sammy was not afraid to let Luke know how she felt. She was a great character.
Luke had a broken heart, and Sammy helped to heal it. They were from two different worlds but complemented each other so well. I just loved this story.

Mine To Hold by Natasha Madison

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mine To Hold by Natasha Madison was everything I hoped it to be. Best friends to lovers with a whole lot of hotness!
Shelby and Ace will melt your heart, and give you all the feels that Natasha does so well.
Shelby is supposed to get married until she gets an email that is for her best friends girlfriend who is one of her bridesmaids from her soon to be husband. The wedding scene was genius.
Fast forward to the honeymoon, where she invites her best friend Ace to join her on. The two can’t fight their attraction, and friends become lovers cause whatever happens on the Island stays on the Island.
Ace has always wanted more with Shelby but it wasn’t meant to be or so he thought.
The chemistry between these two was so apparent you wonder how they were able to be around each other before lol.
The scenes with Shelby and her sisters are comical. I cannot wait for their books.
Natasha just writes such great characters that you can’t help but want more. This series is a spinoff from the Southern Series. Another winner from Natasha Madison!

Between Hello and Goodbye by Emma Scott

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Can you give a book more than 5 stars? Emma Scott has the most magnificent way with words. Her words on the page are like magic. This was one of my favorite of her books. I felt it in my heart and soul.
Asher is a firefighter who saves everyone else and puts his needs last. Faith is a partier, not taking life serious until she finally realizes that she can have more. The two have amazing chemistry and change each other.
The book is set in Hawaii and you can imagine being there through her imagery and setting in the book. Life throws much angst at them and at the reader. With tears in my eyes I felt for their loss. Emma unfortunately knows grief and I am so enamored but her strength and courage. You feel it in her characters and her writing.
You will never regret reading an Emma Scott book and Between Hello and Goodbye should be at the top.

So Not Meant To Be by Meghan Quinn

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So Not Meant To Be by Meghan Quinn is the next of the Cane brothers books. JP met Kelsey when her sister and his brother were fake fiancés that fell in love. Now when JP and Kelsey collide it’s sparks galore with some love hate in between. It’s a business partner, friendship turned true romance story.
JP is assigned to a new project with Kelsey. They fly to San Francisco. He does everything to not want to be in close quarters with Kelsey since he really feels for her. JP doesn’t have real relationships. Kelsey is a true romantic. She wants the perfect love story and has the podcast to prove it. I love the ode to Meghan’s couples on the podcast.
JP decides to try being friends secretly hoping it becomes more. Kelsey doesn’t think JP is that guy until he is.
The two made for some fun adventures and their story was so fun. I loved JP’s pigeon obsession.
Meghan writes such great romantic comedy and this book tops it. I enjoyed their banter, their laughs, their chemistry and everything in between. JP stole my heart. I hope we get more from the Cane brothers.

Mine to Have by Natasha Madison is book 1 of the Southern Wedding series which is a spin off from the Southern series. This is a second chance romance filled with all the feels and emotions that Natasha does so great.
Southern Wedding is Harlow and Travis’ story. They were in love until Travis broke up with Harlow not wanting her to choose him over her family and her dreams. They both were in a daze without each other. Travis thought he could get married and settle and just go through life without real love. His family thought otherwise. Getting an invitation to his wedding was the last thing Harlow expected but a promise is a promise.

I love second chance romances, Natasha Madison’s books, her characters and writing.

Wild About You by Rebecca Jenshak

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wild about You by Rebecca Jenshak is book 2 in the Wildcat Hockey series. It’s two of my favorite troupes, sports romance and second chances.
Did you ever have the one that got away, the one that you knew was your forever come back?
Tyler and Piper met when they were in high school. Tyler knew that he had to make hockey number one and Piper deserved more.He hoped they might meet again. Piper was left heartbroken.
Fast forward to the present, Tyler is a hockey pro and Piper is a student teacher. Every, Tyler’s sister, comes to live with him and Piper works in her school. When the two meet again its like magic. All the feelings are still there. Tyler wants to rekindle their romance but Piper is hesitant. The two spend more time together, and their connection continues to grow. Their chemistry is felt by everyone.
And how much did I love the supporting characters aka the hockey players. They were family, fun and laughs all rolled up in one.
I love that were keep getting characters related to each other, but it can still be read as a standalone. But don’t worry you will want to read them all.
Rebecca writes great characters, and is a whiz at this genre.
I love that I discovered her books as I enjoy them so. Another book not to be missed.

The Doctor’s Daughter by Shari J. Ryan

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Doctor’s Daughter by Shari J Ryan is a must read! Shari’s portrayal of the Holocaust and historical fiction will have you grabbing for tissues, tugging at your heart and leave you gripping the pages until the last word.

This story introduces you to Sofia, a Jewish girl who idolizes her non-Jewish doctor father and Isaac, the son of Jewish parents trying to survive in the Warsaw Ghetto. Sofia loves her father, but comes to question his intentions as he works with the SS. Although he has no choice, Sofia comes to question his motives. Sofia sees Isaac working on their farm and instantly knows she needs to help him. Isaac was sent to work on their farm from Auschwitz as his daily work.

Isaac has been separated from his parents and only has his sister Olivia left.

Sofia’s family opens their home to Isaac until it becomes unsafe and the privileged must go into hiding to survive.

The immediate connection felt between Sofia and Isaac is felt through Shari’s words. All the emotions you will feel inside as the characters struggle to survive in this horrible time. The reader cannot help to think about all the horrors of the past in each of the characters stories.

Every page brings emotion and heartache with the tragedy of those times.

Shari J Ryan tells amazing tales of this genre. Her words will leave you feeling all of the emotions that these characters went through and questioning how this could have happened.

I cannot recommend her books enough. She is one of the best Writers of Holocaust historical fiction.

Only One Forever by Natasha Madison

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Only One Forever is book 8 in the Only One series by Natasha Madison. I just loved Dylan and Alex so much. They had it all love, friendship and family.
While it may not be your typical boy meets girl, it was so much more, best friends through everything finding their person.
All of the books in the series can be read as a standalone, but why would you want to miss such fabulous characters. Who doesn’t want to be part of this family and go on their family vacations?
Dylan was adopted by Cooper after having a horrible dad, and his single mom trying to do everything for him. Enter Maddox, a child attending the summer hockey program, and it’s like Dylan 2.0. Seeing how protective Alex and Dylan were, you knew they were meant to be a family. They were so kind and caring, you will feel it in your heart.
Dylan is thoughtful, protective and the best that Alex could want. The two were so afraid to ruin their friendship that they almost lost each other. Everyone else could see it, but how would their families and the press react? Dylan doesn’t care and changes teams to be closer to Alex. He knew what he wanted! The two were just meant to be.
This book was so filled with emotions, a great story and a family that we all love.
Another winner from Natasha that will melt your heart, and give you all the feels!

The Heart of Us by Kennedy Fox

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Heart of Us in book 4 in the Love In Isolation series, and follows Tatum and Easton. We met Easton in book 3 and I knew I wanted to read his story.
Tatum works for Easton, and he always suspected something wasn’t right. Easton owns a surf shop, and is a really nice guy.
Tatum has a psycho ex, and has been on the run from him. When he shows up, Easton covers for her. When his shop, and their apartments are set on fire, they know who is behind it and go into hiding. The end up at Piper and his brothers condo from book 3.
Kennedy Fox does a great job of telling Tatum’s story about her abusive past. This is a delicate topic and it is told very well. Easton is so caring towards Tatum playing the hero role very well.
I really enjoyed their story a lot. I listened to the audio version and thought the narrators portrayed the characters very well.
They have a sweet relationship taking things slow but their chemistry is undeniable.
I loved them as a couple and the cameos by Piper added to the story. She knows how to spoil someone.
Another great story from Kennedy Fox!

Only One Live by Natasha Madison

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I don’t know how she does it! Natasha Madison writes fantastic sports romances. These characters just get better and better. From the Something so series to the This is series and now the Only one series, the stories and characters make me feel so good and always wanting another story.
Only One Love is book 7 in the Only One series and follows Frances aka Franny and Wilson on their story.
Frances comes from a long line of hockey players, but is ready to strike out on her own. She is independent and head strong. Wilson is the bad boy of hockey with a heart of gold. A one night stand at a wedding turns into anything but that!
These two are hot and have amazing chemistry. They both don’t date, do not fall in love and do not do relationships until they do.
When you know, you know and Wilson knew. The bad boy got tamed by Franny and Franny started a relationship before she knew what hit her.
An unlikely duo that will give you all the feels and sparks.
From the story, the characters to the dialogue, this book will bring the heat, the love and romance. And a bonus is all the characters that make cameos from the other books.

Group Therapy by BB Easton

This was such a fun, hilarious, laugh at loud story. In typical BB Easton fashion, it has quirky characters, an outrageous storyline and a story you won’t be able to put down.
Lou is finishing her PhD as a therapist. Her mom is part of a hippie commune. And that adds some comic moments.
Thomas is a successful author but having a hard time finding his next hit. He is struggling as a writer hitting a wall and can’t get his next story on paper that he was paid a million dollars for.
Lou is given the daunting task of helping him overcome his writers block.
Lou and her friends make up Group Therapy so Lou can see more of Thomas.
Their chemistry is electric.
Group therapy is full of over the top characters and will have you laughing.
I just loved Thomas and Lou together. Their delicate flirting balance between client and patient to giving in to their attraction.
If you love BB Easton you will love Group Therapy.

Only One Mistake by Natasha Madison

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Only One Mistake by Natasha Madison was a great addition to this amazing series. Her books just grab me and make me feel happy. If only I could make them last longer. Once I start, I can’t put it down & this was no exception.
Natasha writes the best sports romance books & is the Queen of hockey. This is a one night stand and accidental pregnancy.
Michael Horton is from hockey royalty. I just fell in love with his character. He was so sweet and caring. Jillian was his perfect match. They had a meet cute moment that sets the story up. Jillian gets stood up by a blind date. Michael has just arrived in Dallas and trying to stay incognito. When her date never arrives, Michael comes to her rescue and the rest is history.
There were so many fun, feel goods moments between them. I never wanted their story to end.
Having been a fan of all the books in the Something So series and this was, makes it so much better with the whole family making cameos.
If you love sports romances you must read these series. Only One Mistake is one of my favorites!

My Summer in Seoul by Rachel Van Dyken

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved this story so much! My Summer in Seoul by Rachel Van Dyken was a fun and unique story. I was excited to read this book after reading the blurb and it did not disappoint.
I knew very little about the k pop music industry and loved reading about it and about another culture.
Grace is a Korean American that had very little ties to Korea. She never felt like she fit in & jumped at the chance to intern in music in Korea. Little did she know, that her world would change, she would have culture shock and she knew very little about her heritage.
Learning through Grace’s eyes as she did immersed the reader in the story and allowed you to learn along with Grace. Each band member so different and surprising. Seeing what they went through, the sacrifices, the ups, the downs made this story so real.
You could feel the passion the writer had for the story. It was so well done. I couldn’t put it down. I hope there are more books to come!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The One Night by Meghan Quinn was a fun novella featuring a character from her book The Reunion releasing in early 2022. It was a fun story about throwing caution to the wind and taking a chance to do what you want. Cooper is getting over a divorce. Nora owns the bakery in town but is also Cooper’s ex-wife’s friend. They hit it off after Cooper’s parents take him out for a night on the town. After a one night stand, what will or can happen?
This was the perfect tease for The Reunion and an introduction to this fun, romantic story. I enjoyed getting to know some of the characters and this set up for the next book.

A Not So Meet Cute by Meghan Quinn was a great meet cute story. It was filled with great characters, banter and writing. What happens when you have a lost girl looking for a rich husband and a businessman needing a fake, pregnant fiancé. You get the perfect rom-com ala Meghan Quinn.

Lottie lost her job, needs a place to live and to pay off her student loans. Huxley wants to close a business deal at all costs and needs a fiancé and a pregnant one. They have sizzling chemistry, and Lottie has a way of breaking down Huxley’s walls to find a caring, compassionate man. She peels his layers back, and what you find is an amazing guy.

I just loved their fun banter and comical episodes throughout taking pregnancy and breastfeeding classes.

Lottie is filled with sass and spunk, and challenges Huxley every step of the way. Huxley is an alpha male, rich and full of appeal in every way.

This is a fun and sexy story that will not disappoint.

The Bookseller of Dachau by Shari J Ryan

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+

I became a fan of Shari J. Ryan’s work after reading Last Words. When I read the description of The Bookseller of Dachau I was excited for another book from Shari. What I didn’t expect was a story that would consume me to the core.
The Holocaust is emotional to read about on its own, but Matilda and Hans story had me in tears, emotional and on the edge of my seat throughout every word, page and chapter. It is their emotional story from best friends, young lovers into adulthood and the rebuilding of lives. I don’t want to say more about the actual story as you need to experience it for yourself.
The book alternates between the past and present day, and Shari did an exceptional job telling this story. Her words will bring you to tears and have you praying for hope as the characters did. What the characters endured, and many in real life, is heartbreaking and tragic. Telling the stories of the past is so important and authors like Shari J. Ryan, are helping to keep them alive for future generations.
This is a wonderful and emotional story of life, loss, horrific tragedy and family. 5+ stars for this heartbreaking story!

Well Played by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well played

Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland are probably the best writing duo around. Their books are just so good. Well Played is the latest from the Two and it was fun, hot and addicting. Their books are hard to put down.

The Palm Inn was left to both Levi and Presley’s son Alex. Presley had a relationship and son with Levi’s brother. Levi wants to tell it while the market is hot. Presley wants to fix it up and make a new life for her and Alex. They make a bet to decide its fate. While Presley works to fix it up they all live there. Alex loves spending time with his uncle. His dad has been MIA until he gets wind of the closeness starting between his brother and Presley.

Presley and Levi have amazing chemistry, banter and so much fun together. Levi never wanted a relationship, but Presley is changing that. Presley can’t be with Levi, Alex is his brothers son and her ex. This is a forbidden love, brothers ex story with angst, love and great writing.

Only One Regret by Natasha Madison

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I just love sports romances and Natasha is the queen of them. Her hockey books are filled with great characters, the best storylines and books that make you not be able to stop reading.
Only One Regret is book 5 in the Only One series. All the books in this series and the prior ones revolve around different generations in the same family, and they are all hockey players. Did I say how much I love these books! They are my kryptonite lol. I can’t stop reading once I start.
Cooper is all grown up, a father and has a soon to be ex that he should have never married in the first place. Erika is Cooper’s agent and best friend. They have a connection that no one can complete with. They have crazy chemistry and it sizzles between them. They also have a love and caring way with each other that makes for the best relationships.
Cooper is your next book boyfriend. He has it all – great father, caring, compassionate and selfless. He will make you swoon.
I loved the story, the characters and hotness of this book. You will have no regrets on this one and it should not be missed. Natasha Madison has another winner with this one.

A Moment for Us by Corinne Michaels

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I just love Corinne Michaels books. They are gripping, emotional and tug at your heart. A Moment for Us has it all. It is emotional in so many ways.

Josh and Delia are just meant to be. Life has been hard and Josh hasn’t dealt with his pain from the past. He doesn’t feel worthy of love and happiness.
Delia has always loved Josh. Always wanted him to love, but happy to just be with him or was she fooling herself.
The two get serious, but when tragedy strikes can they find the strength to be together or get torn apart?
There was much angst throughout the story, and sadness. Delia is strong when she needs to be, and helps Josh to find strength in himself and finally start to heal.

This is a beautiful, heart wrenching story that will take you on an emotional journey of love, loss and family.
Another winner from Corinne!

Jock Reign by Sara Ney

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jock Reign by Sara Ney is book 5 in the Jock Hard series. If you are a sports romance fan then you must read this series. Each one focuses on a different character at the same school. They are full of laughs, great banter and fun characters.

Jock Reign introduces us to Jack, the younger brother of Ashley from the previous book in this series. Jack is a horrible rugby player, but thought it might be a good way to meet people. He meets Eliza and they quickly become friends having lots in common. Eliza and Jack are quirky together, but their romance takes time as they get to know each other. It’s a friendship that develops into more.

Eliza’s roommate has a crush on Jack, and when she sees Eliza and Jack getting closer, drama unfolds. Eliza and Jack end up living together and their relationship blossoms from there.

Jack was a great character, sweet, caring and loved the British phrases. The two together were so sweet. I just loved them.
This was a great sports romance, college romance. and friends to lover’s story. I recommend both this book and this series!

The Lawyer by Marni Mann

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I absolutely loved this book. It was different from a lot of the books I had read by her, but I was hooked from the very beginning, and cannot wait for the next books in this series.
The Lawyer, follows Dominic, an entertainment lawyer, as he represents a new face in reality tv, Kendall, her jealous and difficult sister, and the relationship that develops between him and Kendall. When his one day stand enters his workplace as the sister and assistant of his client, his worlds collide and nothing will ever be the same. Kendall is different and Dominic knows she is going to be perfect for this new role. Kendall is different, she is caring, considerate and beautiful. Nothing like the normal Hollywood girls.
Their chemistry was off the charts, and so electric! Kendall brought put the best in Dominic and vice versa. Their relationship grew and had many layers. I couldn’t get enough of those two.
The Lawyer is hot, exciting and not to be missed. I cannot wait to read about Domino’s brothers in the next books.

When Sparks Fly by Helena Hunting

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When Sparks Fly by Helena Hunting was a friends to lover story filled with great characters, a great story and that humor that Helena does so well.
Avery and Declan are best friends, roommates and always there for each other. Declan has always had a crush on Avery but never acted on it.
A car accident changes everything, and Declan becomes more than just a friend.
These two together have such chemistry and sizzling interactions. I just loved the banter, the caring nature, and Declan’s love that develops.
Their friendship evolved into so much more. There was some angst thrown in too, but overall it was a sweet story that developed from tragedy. Kiss and Don’t Tell by Meghan Quinn

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I just loved Kiss and Don’t Tell by Meghan Quinn. It was the perfect Rom-Com Done in Meghan’s style filled with fun banter, witty conversation, fun times and sexy characters.
Winnie stumbles upon a house after her car breaks down. Turns out it’s a house full of hockey players. From the first scenes, I was laughing and smiling.
Pacey is smitten with Winnie almost immediately. These two have great chemistry. Their friendship and feelings that develop were perfectly written. I just loved their story.
I listened to the audio, and the narrators Jason Clarke and Vanessa Edwin did such a great job bringing these characters to life.
I listen to my audio books in the car, and I would get disappointed when I would get interrupted.
Loved this new series and can’t wait for more from these characters.

At First Hate by KA Linde

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

At First Hate by KA Linde was a second chance, enemies to lovers story. It was filled with great characters, witty banter and some angst moments that you have come to love from Linde.
Marley comes home after being away at school to take care of her grandmother’s house after her passing. Filled with memories from the past, both good and bad. She had a great, caring grandmother who raised her and her brother after her mother was non-existent. The one person she doesn’t want to see or deal with is the one she has to. Her past love Derek.
Derek is now a lawyer and his dad’s firm is representing Marley’s mom in a case to get her grandmother’s house.
The two have so much chemistry, and I loved how Linde goes between the past and present so you experience their relationship and how they got to their current place.
I really enjoyed this book and story. I loved both characters and what they represented and overcame to get to this point in their lives and know what they want. And who isn’t a sucker for a good second chance romance!
I definitely recommend this book.

Southern Sunshine by Natasha Madison

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

OMG! Where to start with this book! I am a huge Natasha Madison fan. Her books just grab me until I am reading the last page.
Southern Sunrise is book 8 in the Southern series. Each one I have loved, and couldn’t put down. The characters in these books feel like a family you want to be a part of. It feels like coming home with each new book.
Reed left to go into the military wanting to escape from his hometown, from living in his father and brothers shadow. Leaving behind everyone to never look back. Six year later he returns after an injury, and his life will never be the same.
Hazel comes back to town after a family emergency. She left six years ago, not wanting to come back, starting a new life for her and her daughter.
Secrets can’t stay hidden forever, almost from the first meeting Reed knows. His life will forever be changed, and give him the piece he was always missing.
I loved this book so much. Reed and Hazel were such good characters, and had great chemistry and love for each other. Hazel showed such strength as a single mom.

The Highland Fling by Meghan Quinn

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Highland Fling by Meghan Quinn is a perfect rom-com set in Scotland. It’s filled with great characters, lots of laughs and great banter.
Bonnie and her best friend Dakota set out on a adventure to run a coffee shop in Scotland. They answer an ad in the paper, and decide they need a change. Rowan is the son of the coffee shop owners, and makes a great first impression on Bonnie. The two start out like oil and water, but the sparks fly and chemistry ignites. This is a slow burn romance, and there are some funny adventures in between.
I just love romance books set in other countries. Meghan tells the story as if you are there and experiencing it along with her characters. It’s a cute story with a small amount of angst and a whole lotta fun.
Take an adventure to Scotland with Meghan as you will not be disappointed!

Tristan and Abigail were a surprise. I just fell in love with them. They had such a strong connection, great chemistry and just became each other’s person.
And Penelope and Abigail’s bond was so strong. Tristan is an amazing dad, and I just love his relationship with Penelope.
When Abigail tells Tristan her news, they are forced to admit their true feelings. These two were so sweet together. They will make you swoon.
This is one not to be missed. I just loved it!

The Rules of Dating My Best Friend’s Sister

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Rules of Dating My Best Friends Sister was so good. I found my next book boyfriend. Who doesn’t love a bad boy turned into a relationship wanting guy.
Laney and Holden always had a connection and we’re friends kind of growing up. Laney was Ryan’s little sister. Ryan and Holden were best friends. Holden is a drummer, sexy and a girl magnet. Not someone that Ryan would want for his sister.
The connection between the two is electric. I just loved their interactions and how Holden always wanted what was best for Lala as he called her.
When Lala comes to New York for work, the two are again drawn to each other. Only problem is Lala has a fiancé.
This book had fun, romance, love, and family. I loved the story, the characters and Holden.
Another winner from Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland!

Cruel Kiss by KA Linde

Cruel Kiss is a novella introducing us to Whitley and Gavin. This is one of my favorite series and I have loved every book. Whitley isn’t part of the East Side rich group. Gavin is. Whitley just broke up with her boyfriend, Gavin’s friend. Is it worth the risk? The two have great chemistry. They sizzle! Gavin doesn’t do relationships, but Whitley has him wanting something with her. A group vacation may lead to other things.
I listened to the audio and thought the narrators did a great job portraying the characters.
I cannot wait for their story in Cruel King coming soon.

Toe the Line by Penelope Ward

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What an amazing story from Penelope Ward! Friends to lovers that will break your heart and put it back together. Archie & Noelle never could get the timing right romantically but they were family.
Family friends thrown together for a life changing summer. There was something between them from the beginning. An openness to each other that couldn’t compare to others and others couldn’t compete with. They filled each other’s hearts even when they didn’t know it.
Penelope brings their story to life through moments of happiness, sadness and love.
I cherished this story, these characters and was sad when it ended. You know you like a book when it ends and you wish it didn’t. Another winner!

The Stolen Twins by Shari J Ryan

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Can I give a book more than 5 stars? Shari J Ryan always blows me away with her historical fiction stories. They are emotional and heartbreaking. Each one focusing on a different topic from those times. The Stolen Twins was a story filled with tears, heartbreak and survival.
Get those tissues ready because this story will leave you emotional throughout. I couldn’t put it down. Twins Nora and Arina are separated from their parents at Auschwitz and subject to the horrors of the camps and medical experiments. This story follows their journey from the camps, to surviving, and trying to navigate the world after.
These two young women define what it means to be strong and how to survive against all odds.
This story is powerful and emotional. It’s a must read by those who love historical fiction and those that want to open their minds and hearts. It’s a story about rebuilding and survival. A standing ovation to Shari for another winner!

Made for You by Natasha Madison

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am a huge fan of Natasha Madison’s books. This book was so much more and so amazing. Yes it was a sports romance but it dealt with mental health also. Mental health and sports is not talked about much but for so many it is a real thing.
Xavier was a professional hockey player until he couldn’t do it anymore. He buys a house boat and is living in serenity trying to not deal with his past.
Vivienne decides she wants to buy a boat, and so she does. She comes from hockey royalty, but that’s where hockey leaves her. She has a secret career.
When their two worlds collide, will they be just what the other needed?
Xavier has lots of walls up, and at first is not very talkative or nice. His dog, Beatrice, has other ideas, and likes Vivienne.
As Xavier’s walls come down, he finds that he likes Vivienne and is very attracted to her. The two form an amazing bond and connection. They become a support for one another And let’s no forget their chemistry is off the charts.
Xavier, with Vivienne and her family’s help, face his demons. And who doesn’t love the Stone and Grant families.
A beautiful story!
This book is a must read!

Wild Ever After by Rebecca Jenshak

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When I started this book I wasn’t sure what to expect but I absolutely loved Declan and Jade. It’s a fake marriage with an unusual twist.
Declan is everything you want in a book boyfriend. He is a hockey player, good looking, rich, sweet, caring and thoughtful. Jade is a hot mess. Together they just work or at least on paper.
Jade is set to marry someone else for her job. She has to write about it for the magazine she works at. Everything is going according to plan until the engagement is called off and she either finds a new fiancé or risks losing her job.
Declan to the rescue. The two of them have so much chemistry as they try to fight their attraction and feelings. Declan does so many sweet things. Jade has baggage from her mom and pushes Declan away.
Will she fight for what she really wants or let her fear get in the way?
I just love Rebecca’s stories and characters. Love seeing the characters from her prior books in the series. She writes great sports romances and Wild Ever After is another winner!
